Vitalii Mutko visited the specialized school of olympic reserve

The minister of sports, tourism and youth policy of Russia, Vitalii Mutko paid visits to Moscow’s sports venues. The tour began with a visit to the specialized school No.2. Awaiting the minister were deputy-mayor of Moscow Sergei Baidakov, head of Moscow’s Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Mikhail Stepaniants and his first deputy, Yurii Nagornykh.

The tour of the school began with the anti-doping information and education center, where the newest equipment for tracing the presence of doping in the body of athletes and the informational and educational hub for the young athletes.

Vitalii Mutko examined the sports complex located at school’s premises that has all the necessary facilities for modern educational and training process: specialized gyms, handball venue, a pool for rowing and canoeing training. Vitalii Mutko noted that there exists a special assignment from the President of Russia with regard to the development of rowing sports. As for the task of building four huge training centers it is possible to make use of science and new technologies and the Moscow’s experience in this area is very useful.

The officials were also presented with the newest complex for testing athletes. This unique center possesses scientific and technological innovations: an adaptation and training in the high mountain conditions, a counterpulsation complex for recovering and improving efficiency, a unified athletes’ database that allows careful monitoring of students’ health and recovery.

The tour encompassed other sports venues of Moscow. Vitalii Mutko visited the open-air neighborhood training area at Rublevskoe Shosse, the sports complex of TsSK VMF, the Rowing Channel, a Palace of Sports, a cycle track and a sports complex in Krylatskoe.
