The Tournament established in 2002 is one of the major sports events in Russia. The cup is presented annually following the results of Grand Prix Kur.
This year athletes from five countries took part in the event. Svetlana Kiseleva riding Paris (breed: Ukrainian riding horse) became a winner of the Grand Prix Kur and a holder of the Russian President's Dressage Cup. Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, President of the International Federation of Equestrian Sports (FEI), and Dmitriy Titov, President of the Russian Federation of Equestrian Sports, attended the awards ceremony.
Honouring of veteran athletes, winners and medalists of the 1980 Moscow Olympiad also took place as part of the awards ceremony. Russian champion is determined by the amount of the results of two competitions. Anna Pyrkina from Yaroslavl riding Gulden (breed: Trakehner) became the Russian champion.
